January 15, 2010, a Friday . . . and we are ‘Home’ in Hopetown Harbor! We left early this morning from Fishers Bay in order to arrive to take the channel at a minimum of half tide and while it was rising. The day is overcast with lots of winds but of course not in a direction that we could use for the sails. As we lined up in the channel, the range markers are next to a street . . . and it’s suggested that you line up on the street - which we did – to avoid the shallow water! Sharon decided to at the last minute to take on fuel and ice . . . a good call UNTIL it was time to get off the dock. The winds were blowing Indian Summer right against the dock with winds over 20 kts. Lovely! Well . . . not! Anyway we were soon securely tied up on our Mooring Ball and it does seem to me that the sun came out then. Not sure as perhaps it was just in my mind!
